Work placements, practice interviews or a talk about your industry. An afternoon can change what a young person believes is possible.

Everything is free to young people, which means someone pays for it. We report plainly on where the money goes and what changes for young people.
Talk about fundingMost of our volunteers give two or three hours a week, at the same time each week, because being reliable is what matters most.
You might help run a sport session, mentor one young person, join an outreach evening, sit in on practice interviews or help young people get to grips with digital and AI tools. You don't need a youth work background. You need to be steady, turn up when you said you would, and talk to young people without talking down to them. We'll train you in everything else.
We'd especially love to hear from women who could support our girls-only sessions, and from anyone with experience of SEND or of speaking more than one language.

What works in Blackburn is built to be picked up and taken elsewhere. We've already started, with outreach sites in Haslingden and Bolton, and we plan to go further, including Preston. If you're a council, school or community organisation and the young people in your town need somewhere to go, something to do and someone in their corner, let's talk.
We work alongside the youth services already there, not around them.

Tell us roughly what you have in mind and how much time you've got. We'll be straight with you about whether it helps.
