What we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
This website is run by FACE – Family and Community Enterprise, a charitable incorporated organisation registered in England and Wales (charity number 1179629). We work under the name FAM – Futures and Mentoring. For the purposes of data protection law, FACE is responsible for the personal information described on this page.
If you have a question about your information, email hello@famcharity.org, call 01254 957607, or write to us at Central Buildings, Richmond Terrace, Blackburn, BB1 7AP.
What we collect through this website
- Your name, email address and phone number, if you give them to us in the contact form
- What you tell us in your message, which may include details about a young person you are referring
- Basic information about how the website is used, but only if you accept analytics cookies
Why we use it
We use what you send us to reply to you, to arrange support for a young person, or to follow up an offer of volunteering or partnership. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and running our charity. If a message raises a safeguarding concern, we may need to share it with the relevant local authority or the police to keep someone safe.
We never sell your information, and we don't use it for marketing unless you have asked us to keep in touch.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries only for as long as we need them to deal with what you asked about. Records about young people we support, and any safeguarding records, are kept in line with our data protection and safeguarding policies.
Both are published in full on our policies page, along with everything else our trustees have approved. If you would rather have a paper copy, just ask.
Cookies
- Essential cookies and similar browser storage keep the website working and remember your cookie choice. These don't need your consent.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) tell us which pages are useful, so we can improve the site. We only switch these on if you click "Accept".
- You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.
- We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. Email hello@famcharity.org and we'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
